Bill has had an extensive background in Quality Assurance from various types of Beverage and Food Facilities.
For over (3) years, he worked for Missa Bay LLC, a diverse food manufacturer who dealt with products ranging from 48 hours shelf life to one year shelf life. During his tenure with this company, Bill was responsible for reorganizing and directing this USDA / FDA regulated processing facility. He managed customer expectations on the production floor and at the customer’s DC’s / Headquarters in a wide variety of categories including Hot Foods, RTE Products, Wet Salads, Cut Fruit, Sliced Apple Products, Bowl Salads, Commissary Sandwiches, Sliced Tomatoes and Lettuce.
His duties included supervising, training and guiding 20 non-union QC Technicians, one Supervisor and 12 Boot Room Monitors (enforced GMP requirements) within three separate facilities.
With Food Safety being paramount in this industry, Bill constantly focused his efforts on training and managing GMP and HACCP Compliance on the production floor. Daily adherence was monitored by a state of the art electronic system.
He managed this Production Floor Quality Control Database which featured touch screen applications and report writing to satisfy USDA requirements.
Bill joined the Safeway Team in March of 2010. His scope of responsibility has included development of HACCP plans and Quality Manuals, building the framework for establishing a Ready-To-Eat operation from a 7 million cubic foot Freezer Storage facility. This framework includes focusing on adapting a warehouse facility to a clean “RTE Production philosophy” environment and creating the foundation to grow within food handling and manufacturing.
Bill has a BA in Biological Sciences from the University of Delaware and has been involved in various training courses to constantly evolve his knowledge and keep up to date with current FDA and USDA standards.

Bill resides in Newark Delaware with his wife. He enjoys snow skiing, camping and spending time with friends and family.
